Running Claude Code from anywhere
I run several Claude Code sessions on a machine at home. That machine has no public IP address. I reach it through a Cloudflare Tunnel instead.
The tunnel routes a few hostnames to specific ports on the machine. One route reaches a project management tool I run locally. Cloudflare Access sits in front of that one route specifically, so it needs a login. The other routes do not have that extra layer.
I keep four persistent Claude Code sessions running on this machine. Each session has its own project folder. Each session has its own Telegram bot. One of these sessions is a general-purpose connector: I send it a message on Telegram, and it runs real Claude Code commands on my behalf, from wherever I am.
Claude Code also has its own Remote Control feature. Remote Control runs independently on all four sessions, side by side with the Telegram connector. The two are separate systems that happen to run on the same machine.
A Claude Code session sometimes needs my input mid-task: a permission prompt, a stuck dialog, a question only I can answer. Without a hook, the session just sits there silently until I happen to check it. I built a Notification hook that fires the moment one of those dialogs appears. The hook sends me a Telegram message with buttons, so I can answer from my phone instead of walking back to a terminal.
